Trump Presidency Not to Change Anything for Muslims: Iraqi Cleric

IQNA – The Friday prayer leader of Baghdad said the victory of Donald Trump in the US election and his return to the White House would not change anything for Muslims.

Ayatollah Sayed Yaseen Mousawi noted that all US presidents, whether Democrat or Republican support Israeli and work for the Zionist regime’s survival. 

That is why current US President Joe Biden gave everything the Israeli regime needed to destroy the Gaza Strip and attack Lebanon, he stated.

Trump defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the US presidential election on November 5.

Noting that Trump has given two months to the Israeli prime minister to finish the war, Ayatollah Mousawi said it means Benjamin Netanyahu has been given the greenlight to kill hundreds or even thousands of people in Gaza and Lebanon and destroy the region.

The cleric also referred to a recent meeting between Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and the UN secretary general’s representative for Iraq and noted that in this meeting, Ayatollah Sistani stressed the need for preventing foreign intervention in Iraq’s affairs.

The Friday prayer leader of Baghdad added that the only country that interferes in Iraq’s affairs is the United States.
